FOR PARENTS DEDICATING CHILDREN

It is a serious matter to present your child to the Lord in dedication. There are responsibilities that fall upon you and responsibilities that God promises to take upon Himself toward each child that is dedicated. The fact that you are bringing your child shows that you put your faith in the Christian way of life and you want your child to grow up to know the Lord. Please understand that the act of dedication does not automatically make your child a Christian. But it is the beginning, when you as a parent enter into partnership with the church to teach your children to know and fear the Lord, to attend church and to always turn to the Lord Jesus as their Savior and to know the Scriptures as God’s Holy Word.

PARENTS

  • It is your responsibility to live as a Christian model for your child to follow. How else will your little one know what it is to be a Christian.

  • It is your responsibility to bring your child to church, so the partnership you’re entering into with God and the church can be fulfilled.

  • It is your privilege and responsibility to teach your child the ways of the Lord.
